Job Description: |
Under the supervision of the Head of Programmes, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, planning, implementation and follow-up of all project related tasks within the project target areas.
- This assignment includes planning, training, strategizing, mobilization, supervision of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project activities, internal and external coordination, and reporting.
- He/She will be responsible for the sharing of clear and proper relevant project information/ feedback and reports with donor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring support in day-to-day implementation of the project.
- Develop and monitor quality parameters in coordination with MEAL.
- Provide technical guidance, oversight and support to the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support project teams in implementation of program interventions.
- Ensure the technical backstopping in placement of protection mechanism at field level.
- Support the teams in implementation of project intervention in collaboration with partner and govt. agencies and other stakeholders.
- Effectively involve in situation monitoring and update the senior management on changing scenarios for immediate response and changes in program approach/design.
- To ensure all necessary programme documents are properly maintained and recorded properly at field level.
- Maintain up to date beneficiary target vs. achievement data as per internal and donor requirements.
- Oversee and ensure the provision of high-quality technical support and capacity building to staff.
- Ensure maintenance of protection case management database with support of regional protection monitoring teams.
- Maintain a positive working relation with the staff by demonstrating consistent and effective management and leadership roles.
- Facilitate the team in identifying the strategic issues in terms of the area of operations.
- Develop project presentation, project introduction and other project orientation and visibility material for staff, visitors and general stakeholders.
- Conduct coordination meetings with line departments, NGOs, INGOs, government authorities working in the project area and provincial level.
- Liaise with, Manager Finance, M&E, and HRat SPO National Centre to take support in order to make project activities as per approved budget
Reporting:
- Prepare high quality internal and external reports within agreed deadlines including monthly and quarterly programmatic progress reports as well as protection monitoring reports.
- Build staff capacity in writing daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure accurate monitoring and documentation of activities.
- Support Head of Programme in managing the project budget; in overseeing all budget expenditures and in ensuring they are allowable and allocable according to SPO and donor regulations.
