Aga Khan Planning and Building Service, Pakistan (AKPBS,P) works to improve the built environment, particularly housing design and construction, village planning, natural hazard mitigation, water and sanitation, and other living conditions. AKPBS achieves these goals through the provision of material and technical assistance and construction management services for rural and urban areas.
Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) an apex institution for community-driven development in the country set up by the Government of Pakistan as an autonomous not-for-profit organization. PPAF under its Institutional Development (ID) program has provided funds for this assignment.
AKPBS, P invites applications from the relevant consultants/consulting firms for the following capacity development related assignments;
1. CONSULTANT CATEGORY-A: Training Community Resource Persons (CRPs) as masters trainers who will train Community Organizations (COs), Village Organizations (VOs) and Local Support Organizations (LSOs) in vital thematic areas of community based development which include:
o Creation of values for LSOs and improving capacity of their Governance;
o Creating of strategies, policies and procedures for the development of LSOs;
o Gender mainstreaming and leadership;
o Social enterprise development
o Environmental social management;
o Community based disaster risk management;
o Community mobilization and organization;
o Project cycle management
o Financial management and procurement
o Proposal writing
o Operation and maintenance of community infrastructure projects.
o Conflict Resolution
2. CONSULTANT CATEGORY-B: Training office bearers/members of VOs in the following thematic areas;
o Rural Connectivity - creating and exploring options for local communities enabling them to access local market
o ODF - how to make their village open defecation free
3. CONSULTANT CATEGORY-C: Video Documentary: The firm/individual will be responsible for the following;
o Preparing documentary on water supply and sanitation projects
o Capturing pre and post intervention situation of the project area
