| Job Description: |
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- At least 5 years of hands on experience in Windows and VMware Administration (vSphere 5.x/6.x administration including vCenter administration), troubleshooting Operating Systems, Storage and Application related issues.
- Support all server and desktop based operating systems and applications like Microsoft Server (2008/R2 and 2012/R2), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/Group Policy deployment/management, Windows Desktops (XP 7 and 8).
- Support all parts of the infrastructure with a focus on Problem Management of Applications including Core Platforms (Server 2003/2008/2012), Microsoft Exchange, SQL, Backup solutions.
- Perform detailed analysis on server/system failures or review analysis performed by other teams.
- Provide support to customers/teams remotely and over the phone.
- Perform remote diagnostics using enterprise remote control utilities.
- Ensure that the Service Level Agreements (SLA) is adhered to at all times.
- Provide coordination and be an escalation point for the local technical and project teams.
- Participate in Change review meetings to ensure smooth management of changes and releases.
- Manage issues escalated from service desk, ensuring all activities do not cause Service Level Agreements (SLA) violation.
- Monitor and make recommendations regarding the performance of servers within the environment.
- Provide an active role in maintaining and improving the security of the system.
- Analyze, detect, identify and correct technical problems and deficiencies.
- Determine requirements, design, build, test, implement, maintain and enhance business systems.
- Deliver high quality IT infrastructure solutions, leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and virtualization.
Required Skills:
- Top university degree in the field Computer Sciences/Telecom/IT or related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and must possess leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with clients.
- Experienced in Microsoft Exchange Server administration (mail-flow troubleshooting), PowerShell and Virtualization (VMware ESX & Hyper V).
- Must be familiar with Layer 2/3 switching & VLAN configuration, knowledge of Antivirus Software (Kaspersky) and Backup software (Backup Exec).
- Must be willing to work in unconventional shifts (on call/afterhours/weekends).
