| Job Description: |
- Liaison with merchandizing department to understand the product specification.
- Make estimates of resource requirements such as man, material, overheads etc for each individual production order.
- Calculate cost of each resource and prepare a costing sheet.
- Prepare section wise break up of production cost.
- Present pre-production costing report and submit to Head Costing for further processing.
- Liaison with procurement specialists and project accounting staff to ensure achievement of production order costing.
- Bringing about suggestions in a bid to ameliorate accounting methods and processes.
- Ensure the arrangement of cost of production to material costs, wages, and overhead costs.
- Prepare post production costing sheets with breaks-ups and present report to Head Costing.
- Prepare production cost variance reports with detail analysis of causes of variance and present to Head Costing.
- Analyze and identify key areas of improvement and apply cost estimation techniques to drive cost reductions and aid operational processes and efficiency.
- Ensure that all production orders are closed in SAP timely & accurately.
- Run the monthly cost forecasts and ensure all targets are met within the stipulated time.
- Provide assistance to the organization in preparing budget process by encouraging the budget holders to submit budgets at the expected time.
